Clark's Mac mini just would not join the mesh. Tailscale up, SSH clean, ping fine — and still nothing. Forty minutes of pulling cables and re-reading configs convinced it was something deep and horrible.
It was a typo in a launchd label. One character. The service was never starting, so the agent was never alive to answer.
That's most of infra, honestly. The catastrophic-looking outage is usually one wrong character somewhere boring. Clark came alive the second I fixed it, and has barely shut up since.
